The Dove is pleased to announce that Ashbourne’s Bethany Harrison (pictured below) has joined their news team.
Graduating from the University of Derby in 2023 Beth began her journey with The Dove providing updates on the ball’s whereabouts and collecting video and audio material at the town's annual Shrovetide event.
With a deep commitment to journalism, she has contributed to several projects, including Raring2Go magazine and the BBC’s Sunday with Laura Kuenssberg, where she was part of the production team working alongside Kuenssberg. Born and raised in Ashbourne, she has devoted the past four years to covering Shrovetide, with her footage being featured by various news outlets such as Storyhub, Derbyshire Live, and the BBC.
Beth commented, "It's great to be writing regularly again about my passions, such as pet care and aviation." As an Ashbourne resident, the town holds a special place in my heart, and I am really looking forward to sharing stories that matter with the people that I know best.”
